I've got one more tip I didn't see explicitly mentioned... looking at site search on an e-commerce site from the cart page can reveal great upsell candidates. Here's an example: http://www.flickr.com/photos/andyed/1949767492/

Good point! I've pretty much avoided getting into commerce examples, because I figured the topic probably has been the most covered when it comes to site search analytics. But maybe that's a mistake on my part?
