Bill Scott from Yahoo! recently released Protoscript. There are an endless supply of JavaScript libraries and toolkits out there, but Bill didn't create Protoscript with the intent of creating another toolkit. Instead, he created it with the intent of prototyping.

His motivation was pretty simple, "Prototyping is too hard for non-techies."
