Creating Game Experiences in Everyday Interfaces

Send your questions for foursquare

This weekend I'll be interviewing Dennis Crowley, creator of foursquare.  We'll be discussing the decision to design what could have been a conventional UI as a game-based experience.  If you have questions you'd like me to ask, please post them as comments to this blog.

Please ask him what they plan to do about security and the perceptions around it--the robmeplease.com situation could (and probably already is) have a negative effect on their brand. Also ask him, "What's the point of 4Sq?" Yelp's checkin approach is integrated with the info about the locations. The only "value" to 4sq is the badges...but so what? They seem so Facebook "poke"ish to me (we CAN do it, but we never asked, Should we do it?)

"Even as we see more and more products blurring the line between games and traditional applications, do you think there are significantly large audiences who will never, ever want overt gameplay intermingled in their user experiences? What do you think of these people?"
