...is now available! Donna Spencer's Card Sorting can now be read on your iPhone, Sony Reader, Android, or... who knows what else! These ebook sands seem to shift hourly! In any case, we optimized the design for Stanza, and checked on Bookworm and ADE, so it should work fine in most cases.
And best of all, you can't beat the price: US$5. So download a copy now, and please comment here on how this first effort might be improved.
(Kindle owners, why are we leaving you out? Well, our books have full color interiors and complex layouts; the Kindle isn't good at presenting that kind of content, at least not yet. But Amazon recently purchased the company that developed Stanza, the primary EPUB reader, so perhaps that'll change soon.)

Being a student in information architecture at Malmo University, this is a very nice initiative. A specialized high-quality book for only $5 is very affordable.
I downloaded Stanza (freeware) and had no trouble reading the book, adding bookmarks, increasing/decreasing text. I will definitely buy more books in epub format and eventually get me a handheld reader. However I had trouble with shopping the book. Had to register an account first, which took a while (server not available several times). I was unable to buy the book and creating a new account in the same process. But when the server answered my calls - it worked fine. Maybe a little load balancing would ease the pressure?
My first real experience with the Card Sorting topic is from the article "User-centred redesign of the FaCS intranet" (2004). Since then I've been looking for a book like this one! Thanks for this opportunity!

Hi Benny, thanks very much for the comments! I'm horrified to hear that our server isn't performing well; I've not had any other reports recently, but I'll keep tabs on what's happening there. In any case, I'm glad you're enjoying the book so far. We're hoping to have the entire (well, it's not that big) RM library available in EPUB this year, so this encouraging; thanks again!

Is Stanza the recommended reader for iPhones?
I'm not seeing any of the illustrations anywhere in Stanza. The only application I've found where I can see any graphics is Adobe Digital Editions on the desktop... which doesn't help me much on the iPhone :-)
Am I missing an option somewhere? Should I be using a different viewer?

Hi Adrian, sorry to hear it. I've tried displaying it using Stanza and the images come out fine on an iPhone. (I've heard of a few glitches using it on a desktop though, which seems to have more to do with Adobe DE.) Can you let me know any more about what's going wrong on your iPhone? Did you purchase your copy recently? I wonder if you might have the test version we sent out some time ago. Let me know your email address (you can reach me at lou at rosenfeldmedia.com) and I can send you the latest version just to be safe.

Very good to see that you support EPUB and intend to get the RM library on this format soon. And thank you very much for making these books so affordable.

Is the ePub version still available? I tried the download link above and it simply took me to the book page where the only options were print and/or PDF.
